About the event

This professional learning program offers teachers from all disciplines, including Social Studies/History, ELA, STEM, and World Language, a hands-on opportunity to explore how generative artificial intelligence can transform inquiry-based instruction.
Participants will design AI-powered “agents” that students can interview as part of a dynamic learning experience. These agents might take the form of historical figures, literary characters, mathematicians, scientists, or personas encountered while traveling in a target-language region.
The session begins with an introduction to ElevenLabs, a cutting-edge, agentic AI tool, and a walkthrough of a sample inquiry-based lesson that leverages this technology to deepen student engagement and critical thinking.
Participants will:
Design inquiry-based lessons where students ask real-time questions and receive contextual, content-rich answers.
Learn how to use generative AI to transform inquiry-based instruction.
Explore ElevenLabs AI voice technology for lifelike historical, literary, scientist, and mathematician personas.
Explore a sample lesson demonstrating AI-enhanced student questioning and critical thinking.
Receive guided support to design a customized, classroom-ready lesson for their discipline.
Leave with an AI-generated character and an inquiry structure that promotes student-led questioning, evidence-based reasoning, and cross-disciplinary connections.
